I am a college graduate who majored in Childhood Education/History and a substitute teacher in multiple school districts, qualified to work in all grades. I’ve been a substitute for 5 years and a babysitter for 3. I am currently in a Master's program for Secondary Education through Kansas State. In an extracurricular sense, I coach girl's basketball. I have also worked with children from grades K-9 as a counselor in an after-school program and winter/spring/summer camp settings for the past 12 years. My duties included supervising children, assisting children with homework or any other problem that needed to be solved, interacting with children during activities such as art, music, gym time, etc. and ensuring the safety and wellness of all children. I find it enjoyable to work with children because of the unique connections that develop and the opportunities to teach, motivate, inspire and build character on both sides. I Read more always maintain an optimistic outlook and positive attitude that has helped me take care of the many children throughout the programs I've been apart of. I hold a great interest in sports as well as an interest in music and art, so I always have many avenues of connections to the children under my care. I also have extensive experience in caring for pets, so any pets that you may have will be taken well care of as well.
