I am a Licensed Master of Social Work looking for a unique position which combines childcare and counseling for children who struggle with mental or behavioral disorders. During the day, I am employed with an agency that responds to calls for children experiencing psychiatric crisis. Prior work includes full time work at a psychiatric hospital with children ages 5-17. I also have experience volunteering, mentoring, and tutoring children at a middle school. Prior to my present job, I was a clinical social worker as at New York Presbyterian Colombia Hospital in White Plains, NY (psychiatric). I also have experience as High/middle School year Social Work Intern where I provided counseling to 6th-12th grade students. I first began childcare as a camp counselor and babysitter. I have been babysitting for around nine years. I am enthusiastic, outgoing, and open minded with children and will engage them in activities rather than sit Read more and watch T.V. with them. I love sports and being outside! I have experience with a range of children and teen mental health including diagnosing, assessing, developing treatment plans, and performing risk assessments with children who are in crisis and referred to 211 Mobile Crisis Intervention Services . Some diagnoses include ODD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, emotionally disturbed and children at risk of harming self or others, ID, autism spectrum disorder, children with special needs and/or developmental delays, and severe food allergies. I am open to part time, or weekly sessions either scheduled or as needed basis. I can do counseling or babysitting, or both combined. I am very open. I received my MSW from NYU with clinical Sw training. I am looking for a creative, unique way to put that to use part time. I have after school and weekend availability. PAY WILL DEPEND ON SERVICES AGREED on. Higher fees for in home counseling services. Flexible fees.
