I am currently 21 years old, living in Yonkers, New York, coming from a family of five. I speak Albanian and English. I am in my third year at CUNY Hunter College in Manhattan, New York where I major in Psychology with a passion to work with children. I have often expressed this passion through watching over, taking care of, and attending to children whether it was for friends, family members, or service hours for school growing up and I always enjoyed it. I have experience in changing diapers, meal prep (non solid foods for infants and solid foods for toddlers and children), play time, putting baby to sleep, bath time, and communication skills as well as boundary focus with children. During this period of watching over children, I acknowledge the responsibility and significance in placing their needs above mine as I respect the parents comfortability in allowing me to Read more fulfill this task, and I am always striving to create a comfortable and safe environment for the children as well. A few other things to note are that I am CPR certified, I have a valid New York state drivers license, and I am willing to travel using transportation of driving or the train, which I am familiar with since i take the metro north and subway almost every day to get to and from school. As mentioned, I am a student so I would like to expand my Psychology degree as well as my desire for childcare as my ultimate goal is to become a teacher and work with kids in a child friendly environment and have a family of my own one day.
