Coming from a family of teachers, I grew up visiting my mom's classroom of pre-k students with visual impairments, and knew teaching was in my future. I started work as a youth referee in high school and progressed to a children's ski and snowboard instructor in Lake Tahoe while attending the University of Nevada, Reno and studying secondary education with a science emphasis. I have worked most recently at a local Montessori school as a Children's House (ages 3-5) assistant and Summer Program Lead Teacher while pursuing my final 20 credits toward my education degree. I have had experience within our school this year as a substitute for our Young Children's Community (ages 18 months-3 years), as well as after-school sports clubs. I have a current CPR and First Aid certificate.
