I have worked with children my whole life. I started babysitting at 12 years old.. here are some of the jobs I have had: Manager of Discovery Zone - (indoor fun and fitness for kids) Rainbow Babies& Children’s Hospital- worked with Child Life Director for Senior Project. Daycare centers- in college and also in Solon when my children were little. Nanny- 3 families, each for approximately 5 years each. Taught PSR- Monday evening catholic school at St. Rita’s in Solon Vacation Bible School - st. Rita’s Worked in Daycare at 2 churches- in Williamsburg Virginia, this is where I met 2 families and then exclusively worked for them. Solon Schools- lunch and recess monitor I also have a masters degree in Education in Mental Health Counseling. I have my License and worked for an agency for two years. I worked to get the agency the highest paying service through Medicaid. Read more It was an intensive service working with teens who have had services their whole life and I was their last chance before going into an institution. I did Family Counseling with these teens and their families. After a year I experienced burnout. This is common amongst counselors working for an agency that are pushed hard to produce hours for them. I loved my job but it was 24/7 and I still had a daughter in high school who needed me to prepare her for college out of state. One day I will open my own practice. I work with someone once a week (flexible day) where I can get the hours I need to become independent. I have been background checked thoroughly every year because I worked with children and went into the families homes. Although I never started I was approved for Lyft ,(like Uber). I was worried about safety so never actually started. They also do background checks before you’re approved. I just love babies and children, this is why I have come to this site . I plan to do this for a couple years until I can start a practice of my own.
