Hello! I'm Teresa & I have 3 little sisters and 1 little brother so I've been babysitting from an early age. I've been babysitting for pay on & off since high school to earn some extra income. I love children and pets, especially cats & kittens! I do have a minimal fear of dogs, but I'm not afraid of small dogs at all; I am only afraid of large dogs if they are not trained, are aggressive or will jump on me or bite/scratch me. My little sister's dog jumped on me once (she's a husky/lab mix) & her claw ripped a huge hole through my nice shirt.. If there is a large, untrained, or aggressive dog that I will be interacting with, I would prefer to meet them before I decide I would like to work for you. I would prefer to work with children ages 3 & up. Read more If you have a baby, I won't do diapers. I have never even changed any of my baby nephew's diapers, and I don't intend to be changing any for awhile. Sorry! I can work with children who've been abused, who have mental health problems or are developmentally delayed, or have an IEP at school, as well as "handicapped" or "disabled" children also. I won't babysit a child who has been diagnosed with ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder); I just don't feel comfortable. I can work with children who show early signs of mood disorders such as Cyclothymia or Bipolar Disorder, as well as children who have symptoms associated with Schizophrenia, ADHD, OCD, and more. I like to make learning fun to help educate children while I'm babysitting, and I also teach their address and phone number, to avoid stranger danger, and social skills. If you have a religion or overall belief/moral system, I can incorporate that into my babysitting for you as well. I can cook/order food, make snacks & drinks, administer meds, take temps, coach homework, play games, read to (or with) children, turn on learning shows & movies, give baths, and keep them busy so that when it's time for bed, they're more than ready, or I can put them to bed myself if you'll be in late. I am a very attentive babysitter, so I don't see anything happening that would harm your child(ren) while you're out, but accidents DO happen, so I know general first aid, and have the poison control phone number as well. I can do overnights, but I would prefer to get to know you a bit first. I currently run my own business as an advertiser/graphic designer/marketer/social media specialist & copywriter, and I set my own hours so I can easily adhere to your schedule!
