Hello! My name is Greta and I am just beginning my fourth semester in Design at the University of Cincinnati. I am also on track to have minors in Psychology and Screenwriting! Outside of school I like to paint, draw, and sculpt, and I run a very small business selling clay pieces (it's very new and definitely still experimental, but growing!). I babysat for nine years back home in Cleveland and I have been lucky enough to babysit/nanny for some other wonderful families Here in Cincinnati over the past two years as well! Between the 30+ families I have worked for, I have experience with 5 week olds through 14 year olds. I have worked as a summer nanny for six years now, and I have continued to babysit on weekdays and weekends whenever I can! I am CPR certified and actually taught first aid for three years back home Read more in Cleveland, and I am still in contact with their Fire Chief who keeps me up to date on all the safety recommendations and procedures! I love to cook/bake and I love to turn it into a kid-friendly activity, I tutored throughout high school so I'm happy to help with homework, and I grew up playing sports and spending most of my time outdoors so I'm very comfortable on that front as well! I have a car and am willing to commute to wherever needed and transport children whenever necessary. Through the years I have worked for families with dogs, cats, lizards, Guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, snakes, hermit crabs, turtles, birds, and fish. I have two cats back home in Cleveland and one little kitten who lives with me here in Cincinnati :) I grew up going to a Montessori school so my mindset when working with children is to facilitate learning and independence in every possible situation. Communication is key both between parents and caregivers in a professional sense, and between caregivers and children in the sense that we are all able to express feelings, needs, and reasoning through words. I also grew up in a no-screens during the week household so I know how to come up with creative activities to entertain kids outside of a tv or tablet! I do enjoy the occasional movie night or video game sesh too :) My dad is a graphic designer so art has always been a part of my life, from finger-painting to sculpting with clay and play dough to coming up with creative ways to combine a myriad of different materials. Arts and crafts with kids is especially enjoyable because of their wide range of imaginative interpretations!
