I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and creating a safe, positive, and fun environment where they can feel comfortable and be themselves. I find it rewarding to support children as they learn, grow, and build confidence. Working with children also connects closely with my long-term goals. I am 19 years old and currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology while on a Pre-PA (Physician Assistant) track through UC and Cincinnati State, with plans to work in pediatrics at a children's hospital in the future. I currently work in the Emergency Department (ED) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s leading and most highly respected pediatric hospitals and have direct patient care experience that has strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, responsibility, and ability to remain calm under pressure. Working in the ED at Cincinnati Children’s has also taught me the importance of patience, Read more as every child and family is experiencing different emotions and situations that require understanding, compassion, and individualized care. This experience has helped me build strong relationships with children and families while creating a supportive and comforting environment during stressful moments. Spending time caring for my younger cousins has also shown me how much I enjoy being around kids and helping create a supportive environment for them. I am also actively working toward obtaining CPR and First Aid certification to continue strengthening my skills and preparedness when caring for children. Overall, I am excited to continue gaining experience working with children and to provide families with dependable, compassionate, and attentive care they can trust.
