My name is Brigid Burwinkel. I am a Cincinnatian born and bred. My family history and experience qualify me to be a nanny. I am a member of a large family, a family that continues to grow. Currently, I have nine nieces and nephews. For the past year and a half I have acted as a nanny to three of my nieces and nephews. As a nanny my duties have not only included daily care but also picking the children up from school, occasionally taking them to soccer practice, and also providing special care to one of my nephews who has a GI tube. I enjoy being a nanny because of the zest children add to life with their imaginations and their appreciation for simple things. I am a student at the University of Cincinnati where I am pursuing my masters in Speech Pathology. I have spent this past semester Read more doing a rotation at Drake hospital and going to numerous schools to perform hearing screenings. At Drake hospital I have been working with stroke patients with aphasia. As stated before, at the schools I performed the mandatory hearing checks. The work at Drake Hospital and at the schools required me to obtain a state and federal background check. Thus, I have a current background check attesting that I have no criminal record.
