Hello! My name is Alexis, Lexi for short, and I have been nannying for over a year now, I'm CPR certified and I'm a full-time 3rd year student at OSU. The reason why I chose to get into this business was because what other job is out there that does not add on more stress than a college student needs?! Being able to keep kids entertained, safe and healthy while their parents are out of commission is very rewarding. I first nannied for a family back in my hometown, Chicago, who had 6-year-old twin boys as well as a 9-year-old. They taught me the ins and outs about football, baseball and floor hockey! I would be with them for morning routines 7-8:30am as well as for after school activities 3-6:30pm Monday-Thursday. This included making breakfast, getting them off to school, picking them up from school, homework help, preparing snacks and Read more taking them to whichever sport they had at the time. Unfortunately AND fortunately, I was accepted into OSU and had to find a new family to nanny for. This family was in the Columbus area where I watched a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old. I took care of them from 1-7pm Tuesday-Thursday. the 4-year-old and I would pick up his older brother from school, prepare after school snacks, help with homework, as well as teaching the 4-year-old his numbers, alphabet ect. Overall, nannying is by far the best, most rewarding and entertaining job i've ever had.
