Hello my name is Dave, I am a retired and slightly dis-abled gentleman. I am 55 years old. Even though I am disabled I get around fine. I am retired from the banking industry . Worked for 3 banks over the last 30 years. I am divorced and have an older stepson who is 30. I basically raised him and he turned out to be a wonderful and successful son. After I retired, I helped an older gentleman from my church run his business out of his home. I was his accountant and office manager. He recently lost his wife and had custody of his 2 grandchildren. He needed help so he hired me and I moved in and helped his grandkids. 12 yr old boy and a 8 yr old girl. I was there nanny for a year. Took them to appointments, got them to school. Helped them with Read more homework. Whatever they needed I was there. I am also an excellent cook. I decided to slow down and moved out and I am still very close to the family. The kids father moved back in and I really was not needed anymore. I still do casual work for his business. As any parent would know it is a full time job. I am just looking to do casual baby sitting. I play various string instruments and I also have taught so many kids to play guitar. I enjoy it. Music has been my life long passion as I was fortunate when I was 12 yrs old an old neighbor who used to babysit me took the time with me and showed me how to play. He was a blessing and it affected me the rest of my life. I played semi professionally for 35 yrs. We still remain good friends. I am also a man of faith. I am Catholic and I also volunteer with other non denominational churches. If your children are interested in God and church I have no problem talking to them about it. If you don't want that it will never be mentioned. I don't shove my believes down peoples throat. I have very reliable transportation. A Hyundai Sonata. Fairly good size car. Will hold 5 adults with no problem. I have a clean slate all the way across the board. No accidents or traffic tickets. I am looking for mostly afternoon to evening jobs, although I am available any time. I have no problem with background checks and references from my last job. In fact, I welcome it. I would rather watch kids from 8 on up. I am very pet friendly as I have had anything from dogs to parrots in my life. I really look forward to talking with anyone who is interested.
