I raised two daughters and a son whom are all over 21 years of age now. My son has Autism and all three children have Dyslexia. I just recently became a Grandmother by my oldest daughter. I took Parenting classes back in 1989, 1991 and again in 1993 as well as had a Child Development Specialist come into my home to teach me how to care for my children. I have experience with how to interact correctly with a child with Autism that have anger outbursts. I grew up with cats and I now have six large dogs. I know how to handle household pets around children. My son had frequent nightmares growing up and so I know how to settle down a frightened child and get them to go back to sleep.
