Hi! I'm Maria, a retired student athlete from Ohio State, working towards graduation in December 2019. As a competitive swimmer, lifeguard, and swim coach, I've had a TON of experience working with kids of all ages and absolutely love it. In high school, I was the head coach of a small yacht club swim team. I have been a lifeguard (CPR and first aid retraining ever summer) since age 15 so I am very comfortable with watching over the safety of others. I have babysat young toddlers and infants. Most recently at Ohio State, I was a camp counselor for two summers. Last summer I was the assistant swim coach at a local country club in Columbus, along with teaching private lessons to children. I am very comfortable working with children and definitely have years of experience working with children of all ages.
