My extensive child care experience stems from my love of being around kids. My mother has taught kindergarten since I was 5 years old and I always loved helping out in her classroom whenever possible. My mother also taught art classes for children during the summer which I would assist with. As soon as I could, I started working for family friends as a mother's helper and then babysitter. I have nannied for a family with children ages 3-12. I also worked at Ruffing Montessori School, helping with children ages 8 through 12. During the Summer of 2014, I spent two months volunteering in Cusco, Peru doing child care work in impoverished areas of the city. I love being outside, and the spontaneity and creativity that babysitting brings.
