Hi all!! My name is Carissa, I’ve been a nanny since 2020 and I have loved every moment of it. I’m now looking to be a nurturing, fun nanny for an open minded family sometime in August, maybe September :•) I’ve nannied in Columbus and Cleveland through different moves, so I have some really great references if needed:•) I graduated with my degree in Studio Art from Baldwin Wallace in May, and will be pursuing a Post-Bacc at Kent in the Fall. I work for at least 20/hr, but if it’s more than one child, I’d prefer somewhere between 21-23 if possible (but I’m flexible). I am looking for about 30-40 hours a week, ideally just weekdays but again I am flexible!! My main nannying experiences have been with: a family with 2 girls aged 3 and 6 for about a year and a family with twins that were just Read more shy of 2 years old. I absolutely love utilizing nearby parks and shops to go on nature adventures and explore, or kick back and watch movies with some snacks (though most families I’ve nannied for did little to no screen time). As an artist, I also loveee crafty activities with the kids too!! I am extremely reliable, hands on, and have a gentle heart that kids love and feel safe around💖💖I am big into gentle parenting and Montessori teaching as a guide for my nannying practice. I have experience with kids who are of mild special needs like severe ADHD, some emotional disturbance, and Autism. I also took some psychology classes in college, specifically Developmental Psychology, that inform a lot of my decisions. While nannying for my other families, my responsibilities included: watching over them, preparing meals and snacks, clean up and light housekeeping such as laundry, facilitating activities, allowing 2 hours of screen time a day, using the family car to take the girls to gymnastics class, and handling online school related tasks. Also, just to be upfront I am apart of the LGBTQ+ community and have a lot of tattoos and some facial piercings, so if that isn’t your thing, no worries!
