Hi! I am currently an Occupational Therapy student at the Ohio State University getting my doctorate! I enjoy spending time with children and would love to get more experience with children as I consider working with kids after I graduate! I only have paid experience babysitting for a summer after my senior year of high school (2018), and various babysitting jobs throughout high school for extended family members, however I have unpaid and volunteer experience with kids in the years following. All throughout my 3 years of undergrad, I consistently volunteered in the children’s program at my church (with kids between K-2), and prior to COVID I volunteered with my local Salvation Army to participate in a local school’s after school homework helpers program once a week for 3rd-5th graders. More recently for my academic requirements for occupational therapy school, I have had fieldworks for my program in a school, Read more and this past summer I completed a 12 week fieldwork experience with children at a summer camp where I was in charge of leading activities for multiple children at a time, and at an outpatient clinic specializing in sensory processing in Missouri. I have enjoyed learning about child development throughout my undergrad and graduate programs thus far, and would love to learn more from hands on experience and getting to play and help your child learn and grow in whatever phase of life they are in! I also would love to support your family wherever I can, including light cooking, cleaning, and taking care of animals as well (I have experience with 2 of my own cats and occasionally helping in the past with my mother’s dog). I am looking for part time or occasional work (evenings and weekends) that will work with my school schedule and availability, or even as someone to cover for date nights! I am also CPR and first aid training certified.
