My name is Ja’Liya Jones and I am an 18 year old student with a passion in childcare. I recently graduated earlier in 2023, and am currently back in school at Columbus State Community College with a major in Early Childhood Education. My passion in childcare began when I was about 13 years old, and it came from babysitting younger relatives. They were aged from 3-12, and while in my care, I would always help with homework, cleaning, cooking, and any other tasks that I could help in. Babysitting my younger relatives is what sparked my interest in childcare and made me so passionate. I love being able to teach and watch the children grow and learn about themselves and and the world. I also have experience working for Westerville Area Resource Ministry ( WARM ) over the summer. While here me and 2-3 other people would set up a Read more site with toys and activities for the children to play with, and have free lunch meals to give out for the summer. Kids from all different age groups would come out and we would all just hang out and play.
