I have worked full-time for Dayton Public Schools for past two years as an instructional aid. I work in a classroom with 27 children, ages 6-9. I am responsible for keeping them safe, assisting with classroom work, teaching small lessons, creating individualized lessons for particular children and taking them to lunch and recess. Last year I did the same job but for a class of 3-6-year-old students. I attend Sinclair in the evenings while I am working towards an associates in Elementary Education. My goal is to become a certified teacher eventually. Education and child care runs in my blood! I am very fortunate to have a mother who has a lifetime of experience as a preschool teacher and she has been able to pass a lot of that knowledge down to me. I am very passionate about education and I this is much more than a job to me!
