Hello! My name is Emily Bussing, I attend the University of Toledo. I will be taking my last year of classes to become an elementary teacher. I grew up always wanting to work with children and to become someone that can be a positive role model in their life. While in high school, I babysat many of my teachers’ children and family friends’ children. When I graduated, I started to work at a YMCA before and after school day care, where we had the responsibility to not only watch the children but help them with homework and everyday activities. We also loved keeping the children active. While working, I also volunteered at my church to become a Sunday school teacher from grades third to fifth. I also volunteer my time as much as possible with youth group and other church actives. I transferred schools two years ago from the University Read more of Cincinnati. Since transferring, I have had so many opportunities to better my self as a person and through christ. I now work at Children's Discovery Center. I’ve taught in every grade/class, but I’m usually in the infant room which consists of different rooms of babies from the ages from 3 months-18 months. I love to be active and outside whether that’s riding bikes, taking walks with my puppy Camper, or just soaking up the sun. I have my own transportation and I am a nonsmoker.
