I started babysitting at 13. I watched children of my parent's business associates, and was THE sitter to have. It was not unusual on meeting day for my sister and I to have 10-12 kids in our care. Around the same time I also began working in the church nursery and teaching Sunday School. I have a BA in missions in the field of elementary education. After college, I lived in a children's home taking care of up to 14 children at a time from all over the world, many of whom were special needs. Since then I have substitute taught (2 yrs), tutored, taught pre-k/kindergarten (3 semesters, in Chile), and continued babysitting. I am very much a teacher by personality and take a special interest in helping kids learn as they grow.
