Hi there, I'm Kelly! I'm a 21-year-old college senior studying early childhood education, with an independent study in play therapy. I've worked in childcare for ten years, and I couldn't imagine a more rewarding field. I have experience ranging from 6 months through second grade. Some of my favorite activities with children include exploring outdoors, reading books in funny voices, and creating elaborate stories with the children. My past positions include: Caregiver in toddler class (7–9 children ages 15 to 26 months), summers 2012–18; biweekly English tutor for two Spanish-speaking kindergarteners, October 2016–April 2017; after-school babysitter for one 2-year-old girl, November 2016–March 2017; regular volunteer in walkers (12 to 18 months) and 2-year-old classes at church, fall 2017–present (less during the school year); regular babysitter for one 2.5-year-old girl (light laundry, occasional meal prep), April–August 2018; childcare coordinator for ministry staff retreat, April 2019 and 2021; head preschool teacher (10 Read more children ages 3 to 5), summer 2019; part-time nanny for one 4-year-old girl (meal prep, transportation to preschool), winter 2020; educational field placements in preschool (Head Start), kindergarten (suburban), and first grade (urban).
