My name is Micaela Lattimer!! Hi! I have been caring for children ever since I was old enough to provide direction. A little “About Me”: As of March 2018, my husband and I have become new parents to a beautiful Premie daughter. I have been teaching in the public and private education classrooms for the past 5 years and am looking to babysit &/or tutor while in our home with our little girl for her first couple of years. In 2011, I graduated from Ashland University with my undergraduate degree with a Bachelors of Science in Education. I’m a licensed Intervention Specialist (Special Education teacher) for students with Mild/Moderate needs grades K-12th. I also have been certified with a Reading Endorsement for K-12 graders. My past work experience includes: 2012-2013: Mansfield High School (grades 8-12+| Multiple Disability Life Skills & English/Math teacher 2013-2014: My husband and I spent a year Read more doing mission work in Southeast Asia 2014-2015: Prospect Elementary School (grades k-3) |Inclusion for all subject teacher and Reading Recovery Teacher 2015-2016: Ashland High School (grades 9-12) | Inclusion for Algebra II & Biology teacher 2016-2017: Ashland Middle School (grade 6) | Inclusion ELA, Social Studies, Science, and READ180 teacher 2017-2018: (Moved to Columbus) Oakstone Academy High School (primarily 10-11 graders) Responsible for 25 student caseload of students on the Autism Spectrum. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of my years in the field of education and wouldn’t change a thing from my experiences! I’m currently seeking to help other parents/kiddos not to merely have a babysitter but to have a caring home that parents can feel comfortable in knowing that the person they are entrusting their child to will be actively trying to engage their children in books, play, and encouragement! :) If you have any questions for me, I am happy to help answer anything you may be wondering!
