Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I am a rising junior at the University of Dayton. I am an Early Childhood Education major and truly have a passion for working with kids. I am working towards my K-3 degree with an endorsement as an intervention specialist and in dyslexia education. Throughout the past few years I have mentored in various schools, tutored multiple children in the Dayton area, worked as an after-school care provider through Hilliard City Schools and coached a group of girls as an Optimist Cheerleading Coach. I was a buddy for a fifth grader through College Mentors for Kids and am an active member of the Chi Omega Sorority. I started babysitting for my sister and a family friend when I was 12 years old. A year later I started babysitting for a fellow church family and stuck with them until the kids were old enough Read more to watch themselves. I have watched multiple other kids for families who just needed a monthly date night or someone to run their kids to soccer practice every once in a while. I am CPR and First Aid certified and just got re-certified a few weeks ago through the American Red Cross. I currently work as a summer camp counselor in Hilliard and love every minute of it.
