MY EXPERIENCE I am blessed to be a mom, but my baby is now an adult and out on his own! I am a stepmom to a live-in young adult male with autism, and this experience has taught me how to communicate in a whole new way. In addition to being a parent, I was a babysitter for many years in my teens. I currently babysit the children of extended family members whenever possible! WHY I LOVE IT I was recently laid off from my corporate job and have decided to switch gears and follow my heart by pursuing a part-time job caring for children. Working with children makes me happy. I truly enjoy watching them grow and live life to their potential. Being a part of that journey is extremely rewarding. As a parent, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your children. MY SKILLS & TRAINING - Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certified - Patient, trustworthy, kind, and caring - Fun, energetic, like to play games and be creative - Enjoy the outdoors (hiking, water and snow skiing, etc) - I am a dog person. I grew up with dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, fish, and a few birds. I enjoy most pets. Exceptions are snakes and hairy spiders, but I can deal with them if they are in a secure cage:)
