Hello my name is Shelby. I am CPR, first aid, Child Abuse, and communicable disease certified. My goal is to assist parents by providing safe, caring, and fun childcare in the comfort of their home. I started babysitting when I was 13, after getting my babysitting license through the Red Cross. This class showed me how to properly care for children and what to do during an emergency. I took part in the Teacher's Academy at Miami Valley Career Technology Center and have work at a daycare for the past year and half in the infant, toddler and school age classrooms. I am very creative and love animals and going outdoors. I was recently a long term babysitter for a family of two eight year old girls and one ten year old from January 2016 to February 2017, when they moved at another state. For this family I watched the Read more children to around 12am on most nights and even took care of the girls during long weekends while parent went on a getaway. I drove them to all their activity, prepared meals, and conducted light house cleaning. In August I assisted a stay at home mother of seven after giving birth to number 6 and 7 until she recovered from c-section. During this job I drove the older kids to sports, got them ready for school. After the older kids went to school I took care of the one year old and watched newborn's while mother slept.
