My name is Kara Moody. I recently graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. I will be taking one year off from my graduate studies before returning to school. I have been babysitting for families for about 4 years now and when I saw your job posting I thought that it might be the perfect position for me. I have experience with all age ranges of children but especially infant-12 years as the families I have babysat for the most often have had children in those age ranges including boys and girls. I enjoy being hands on with children while interacting with them and learning the things they enjoy to do which helps pass the time while their parents are away more enjoyable for them. Some things I enjoy doing are arts/crafts, reading, being in the outdoors, and cooking. I enjoy cooking healthy meals for the little ones and if old enough letting them become hands on as well. Hi! my name’s Corlette! I am 22 years old and i go to OSU studying medical anthropology. I’ve worked as a lifeguard since I was 15 which has not only given me lots of experience working with kids but also means I am both CPR and first aid certified. Since college has started back up and I know a lot of grade schools are going online I thought babysitting would be a perfect job for me because I can help the kids with their school work while also working on mine! I am very active and would be happy to take the kids to any sports, activities, or run errands whatever would be convenient for you! I have class each morning at 8am and my last class finishes at 3:40pm M-F. I do have a 5 hour gap between classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and would be able to provide extra help 9:30am-2pm if needed during that time.

I love being around and working with children. I am the nanny for a 18 month old girl that I have taken care of since she was three months. I also have three grown daughters, two of which have children. I hangout with them alot. I do school sometimes with them when I spend the night at their house which was often before COVID. I get all of my grandkids in the summer for two weeks. I have been a pediatric nurse here in Columbus for almost 3 years, so I have gained plenty of experience with kiddos of all ages, from babies to teenagers. I started babysitting for friends and family around the age of 15 and continued through college! I was a lifeguard for over 5 years as well! Hi! I'm a fourth year social work student at OSU! After I graduate in this winter, I plan to attend OSU next summer to get my master in social work. With that master degree, I would like to become a family therapist/school therapist. I’m also CPR certified. Growing up I always enjoyed taking care and being around kids. I'm pretty sure it's because I am the oldest child out of my family. It's also been in my routine to look after and care for younger ones. I love working with children because you never know what to expect from them. It's something new with them every 3 minutes. I love being around young kids because they are not only learning from you but you are learning from them. I have watched kids in many different settings including camps, homes, churches, and schools. With that being said, I have watched/drove many kids of all ages. I have served as an emergency sitter and a labor on call sitter! I was a camp counselor for 5th graders, a kidz kingdom teacher for babies-5 year old, an after school teacher aid for kindergarteners/1st graders, and have babysat for numerous amount of families. Some of my favorite things to do with the kiddos is explore. Exploring can encompass many things ranging from trying new foods, to visiting a museum, to visiting the local parks, zoo, or COSI etc. Kids are always eager to explore and it activity that can help connect and build. I have experience watching multiples. I’ve gotten up to 6 kids at one time before! I have experience with babies and overnight sitting as well.
