I am the product of a family of educators. My grandfather was an elementary school principal, my mother is an elementary school teacher, and many of my aunts and uncles are teachers. I may not have traditional training, but I've been helping my mother with her classes and her summer enrichment programs since I was 12 years old. I have been babysitting since I was in high school, and I have experience with all sorts of children of different ages, genders, religions, learning abilities etc. My care-giving philosophy is largely based on what I have absorbed from my mother. I strongly believe in the play-to-learn approach to child-care, so if you are looking for a sitter who abhors sitting a child in front of the TV, I'm your girl. I am also happy to help with Elementary and Middle-School tutoring. I enjoy helping children find alternative ways to embracing subjects, Read more or just helping them learn how to trudge their way through a subject that they don't enjoy. I've found both skills to be equally important when pursuing a degree.  I work a full-time job, so I am not available for traditional nanny employment, but I am typically available after 4:30pm and on weekends.
