I am 23 years old and I have been caring for children since I was 13. I practically raised my younger sister (younger by 7 1/2 years). I myself have a 19 month old daughter! I had been doing volunteer babysitting for many years in my hometown before my parents suggested I start setting myself hourly rates. I don't like to charge a lot because, for me, children are easy to tend to. I know how to get down on their level but they also know that I am in charge. I never have problems when it comes to tending to kids. I used to care for my friends daughters when they would go out, ages 9 and 12. I have experience dealing with ages newborn-13. I have been certified in infants and children CPR and first aid. I am comfortable administering any creams or medications that your child may Read more need. If your child is in the process of potty training, I am comfortable with assisting. (My daughter and I are working on it now too. Maybe they can learn together!) Things I like to do with my daughter and that I would do with your child as well include going to the park or just playing around my nice size yard with my kid-friendly chocolate lab, Nala. We have a sandbox in our backyard that my daughter absolutely loves. I do have an extra bed for your child to nap in, if that's his/her routine. I also have reliable transportation in case of emergency.
