I am a previous teacher who has stepped outside of teaching in the classroom setting to help students and families with the crazy remote learning at home! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Mild/Moderate Intervention (Special Education) from Cleveland State University (graduated Fall 2016). I have always loved working with young children and I have had most of my experience through babysitting, teaching, working as a vision therapist, and a tutor. I have had experience with infants all the way up to middle school age children. In March of 2020, at the start of the pandemic, I started working as an in home tutor to help elementary and middle school aged children navigate their online learning. It has been an amazing experience so far! I also have BCI/FBI background checks that I can provide copies of when meeting for a potential position with a new family! Since March of 2020, Read more I have been working with multiple families as a remote learning assistant, while also providing tutoring in areas where the student may have individual goals (as written in their IEP). It has been so rewarding to help families and students in any way that I can be of service, I look forward to hearing from anyone that might need another team member during this remote learning experience.

Alyssa did a wonderful job watching our twins. She was with them for quite a few hours and the kids loved it! They keep asking when she is going to come back again. She was very good with them and interacted with them appropriately. We will definitely use her again.
