Why do you love being a sitter? Hello families! I'm new to this site, but not new to creating strong relationships with children of all ages. I love being a sitter because I enjoy building meaningful connections with children and helping them grow. It’s rewarding to create a safe, fun environment where kids can be themselves while also learning new things. I especially enjoy seeing their confidence grow through play, creativity, and everyday moments. What experience do you have? I have several years of childcare experience working with children from ages 3 through high school. I worked as an Assistant Teacher at KinderCare for 8 years in the summer, where I supported young children’s development through structured activities, daily routines, and assist with field trips. I currently work as an Instructional Assistant with middle school students, providing small group and one-on-one support. I also served with a non profit called Read more City Year located here in Columbus,Ohio , where I mentored and tutored high school students, focusing on both academics and social-emotional growth. What skills and training do you have? I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist. My skills include behavior management, creating engaging and age-appropriate activities, supporting academic learning, and building strong relationships with children and families. I’m also experienced in maintaining safe environments, communicating effectively with parents, and adapting to different children’s needs and personalities. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you to ensure a safe, fun, and learning filled summer!
