I am a "Nana" who loves children. I started sitting at age twelve. Taking care of children is a natural gift for me. I strive to not only provide for their physical needs, I place strong emphasis on emotional and entertainment needs. My longest jobs involved two families, one seven years with two children; the first was eight months followed two years later with a brother. Fourteen years with three children starting at ages three, five, and seven. I entertained the children with active game playing, simple arts and craft activities, and frequent walks in a nearby park. I don't approve of lengthy TV distractions, and I make sure that my activities meet the parents' approval. I did take a first aid course, but that was a long time ago.
