Hi! I’ve worked in childcare for over 5 years, my mom had a in-home daycare when I was younger and I often babysat and nannied for the parents of the weekends. I’ve worked in a 5-star childcare center for 3 years where my main classroom was preschool (age 3-5) but, I also worked in the infants classroom, 1-2 years, and school age. I’m certified in CPR/first aid for adults, children, and infants and I have a level 2 on the Oklahoma PLD Ladder. I have a bachelors degree in sociology and am currently saving for law school in fall 2024. I love working with kids and want to become a family attorney one day. I believe in the general parent method and I discipline kids based on their actions (throwing a toy means we lose the toy, not time out). I do not believe kids will listen better by raising Read more my voice, they listen based on respect and I will always work to earn the child’s respect over demanding it. I love creating sensory buckets, getting messy, and playing outside. I will also watch pets for you if needed, anything but an opossum (they scare me). If it’s a reptile I’ll definitely feed it but I will only hold it if it’s absolutely necessary. I have my own Aussie/Corgi mix, two cats, and two turtles! If there is downtime (when the kids are asleep) I can also clean for an additional charge that can be discussed. I will definitely clean anything that comes along with the child for the original price but if it’s additional like laundry, bathrooms, etc. we can talk about it! I’m looking for night time jobs as I have a 9-5:30PM job I have to keep to pay the bills. I’m willing to stay overnights if needed and work occasionally weekends as long as I know in advance!
