I babysat for years when I was younger, then became a face painter/children's entertainer. Now I am traveling and coming back to babysitting as a way to support myself with part-time work while on the road. I love children, and animals, and have a special relationship with both. I am trained in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (1,000 hours of training on top of the 200-hour yoga teacher training) and Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapy. So I am educated about developmental stages, as well as how a child's physiology can affect their mood and behavior. I believe I have a soothing presence with children (you have to, in order to get them to sit still and have their faces painted!). I live an active lifestyle, lots of physical activity and creative activity. With children, I love to paint, color and draw, take them to the library, read to them, play hide and Read more seek or go for a walk in the park, to a playground, or swimming if the weather's nice. Inside activities can include a dance party listening to music, playing music (I have several small instruments) or crafting. I don't believe children should spend much time in front of screens!
