Hey yall! My name is DeLaney and I’ve been working with kids for 8+ years. I have multiple certifications (safe sleep, cpr, etc.). I also work along side a bunch of kids who have special needs and I have been doing that since I was 5. I love working with kids with my whole heart, I currently work in a daycare. I have been teaching classes in a co-op, ages four to teens, over the last five years. The younger classes are all day and the older classes change as scheduled. The majority of the last twenty years I have spent raising and teaching my own four children. I am active with my church youth, teaching classes and as a chaperone for local and travel events. In my career, I taught in a variety of educational settings including public school, Early Childhood Education centers, and a private specialized care center for children and families affected by HIV. Through my college years, I worked in a youth crisis center and a residential youth treatment center. All of this experience reflects my persistent care for children and families. I am a mother of two. My kids are now 26 and 24 years old. During the Fall and Spring, I work at Bixby High School as a Special Education Job Coach. I worked at Bixby North elementary for 7 years where I worked with kids that have Downs Syndrome, autism, and other special needs. I actually worked in the I.T. field for over 25 years and when I was laid off, I became a substitute teacher for Bixby Public Schools. I was offered a permanent job at Bixby in September 2017. I volunteer weekly at LifeChurch kids program for newborn - 3 years old and have done this for over 15 years. I have had training in first-aid and CPR. My latest background check was done by Bixby Public Schools in May 2023. I love kids. They are the most precious gift on earth.
