Hi! My name is Tabitha, and working with children isn’t just my job, it’s my passion. I’m a warm, dedicated caregiver with over 4 years of experience working with children ages 2 to 14, in both home and educational settings. I hold an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and I’m currently continuing my studies to become a certified teacher. I have been teaching classes in a co-op, ages four to teens, over the last five years. The younger classes are all day and the older classes change as scheduled. The majority of the last twenty years I have spent raising and teaching my own four children. I am active with my church youth, teaching classes and as a chaperone for local and travel events. I have been a caregiver for a child with special needs. In my career, I taught in a variety of educational settings including public school, Early Childhood Education centers, and a private specialized care center for children and families affected by HIV. Through my college years, I worked in a youth crisis center and a residential youth treatment center. All of this experience reflects my persistent care for children and families. My desire is to help other families, as my own children grow and need less daily supervision. I look forward to using my skills and experience to benefit more children and families.

I worked at Bixby North elementary for 7 years where I worked with kids that have Downs Syndrome, autism, and other special needs. I actually worked in the I.T. field for over 25 years and when I was laid off, I became a substitute teacher for Bixby Public Schools. I was offered a permanent job at Bixby in September 2017. I volunteer weekly at LifeChurch kids program for newborn - 3 years old and have done this for over 15 years. I have had training in first-aid and CPR. My latest background check was done by Bixby Public Schools in May 2023. I love kids. They are the most precious gift on earth.
