My name is Kierra Smith and I would love to speak with you more about the possibility of working with your children. I am almost twenty, relatively new to New York, and will be enrolling in an Education degree at a CUNY school in January. I live in Prospect Lefferts Gardens with my sister and brother-in-law. I am looking for work as a mother’s/father’s helper, babysitter, or nanny type job while I save money for school. My favorite job so far was when I was a Teacher’s Assistant at Creative Kids Learning Center. I worked with a coworker and together we were responsible for twelve 1-year old children. I would also sub in the older aged classes up to Preschool children. I was involved in all aspects of naptime, snacks, games, and projects. It was my responsibility to learn the personal needs of each child (favorite blanky, food allergies, etc.) Read more and I enjoyed the privilege of getting to know each child. I love working with children of all ages. I enjoy getting to know them, but also keeping them entertained with art projects, stories, and songs. I have no problem getting my hands dirty – diapers, spit-up, and cleaning up spills is no problem for me. I’ve registered for a class with the American Red Cross to become certified on Sept. 27th in Pediatric First Aid & CPR. Safety is very important to me and I aspire to be able to provide parents’ ease of mind in knowing that their child is in good hands with me. I have been a janitor for schools, so I do not mind light housework. Additionally, more cleaning services can be done for a negotiated rate. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
