I am a young, patient, energetic newlywed with no children of my own yet. Although I have two dogs that I consider to be my kids, for now :) I am allergic to cats though! I have my Bachelor's degree in Community, Family, and Addiction Services. I have completed all my classes for my Masters degree in Counseling. I still need to complete the practicum in order to officially have my MS in Counseling. However, working with children is my passion. I currently work as a Bachelor's level counselor and Life Skills educator. My hours slow down quite a bit during the summer so I am looking to earn a little extra money while still getting to work with kids. I usually have a caseload of about 10-12 kids ranging from 5 to 18. I have been working closely with kids since 2011 in a counselor/mentor capacity. I grew up Read more babysitting quite a bit and have two young nieces. Although most of my experience is in a professional setting, it is my responsibility to make my clients feel comfortable, safe, and engaged which is the same approach I always take with children in any setting. I am very compassionate, empathetic, and responsible. I enjoy coming up with fun activities for the kids and playing games. I recently spent a Saturday at a Well Baby class at Norman Regional learning about newborn/infant care which included topics like the 5 S's, infant CPR, and bathing. I have signed up to take the Adult/Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification course on Monday June 11th. With that being said, I soon will be certified in CPR/First Aid which will be not only be useful in my profession but will also help put your minds at ease when I care for your children. Currently, my schedule is flexible and open. I would love to help working families over the summer that need a little extra help with their kiddos!
