I have been working with children since I graduated high school in 2019, however the extent of my child care experience does not start there. You see I am my mother’s first born so I often was the one to help take care of my brothers or other children in the neighborhood, other families, etc. I have worked with several different age groups from 6 month infants to 11 year olds. I have babysat up to 18 kids alone and I am also Cpr & first aid certified. I have been trained by Sunbeam and other organizations in mental health, nutritional health, suicide prevention, and ACES/Paces, etc. I have also done an internship through Americorps at EmpowerOkc where I was responsible for creating resource documents for my assigned families, tutoring assigned children and creating activity packets. EmpowerOkc also equipped me with several trainings, one such as the TBRI Trauma Training. I absolutely love children and am extremely passionate about seeing children grow to be wonderful people. It’s also extremely important to me that each child feels encouraged, loved and safe.
