Apart from being an early childhood teacher, I have also provided babysitting services on an as-needed basis, most were just hourly, some were overnight, weekly and weekend extended stays. Included duties were: cooking, cleaning, homework help/playtime, bathing the children, getting ready for bedtime. Morning duties of: waking children up, assisting to dress them, feeding them/preparing school sack lunches, and getting ready for school on weekdays, taking them to school, picking them up from school, and taking them to occasional after school activities as needed: arts & crafts sessions, soccer practice, karate. These times of childcare were neither long-term nor live-in, but were very similar to nanny-type duties in nature. Although I've never been an actual nanny, I do possess the required quality skill set of one and would be a great asset to any family. I am very kind/thoughtful, joyful and pleasant, enthusiastic, energetic, punctual, competent, organized and clean. I take both instruction and initiative very well, I am a team player, a super quick learner, and very confident in my ability that I can do all things required of me and beyond. My love of all children is special and evident in that I form a connection so very well with each one. I call myself a kid-magnet, it must be my bubbly personality, happiness, and genuine love that draws them because we just have loads of fun together. I’m really just a big kid at heart myself, but can also be firm, yet loving when I need to be for providing the proper guidance and growth children need. I am a graduate student pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hope to work with families and children once I graduate and become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have been a volunteer in children’s ministry for more than five years. I currently work as an after school teacher.
