I am a graduate student pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hope to work with families and children once I graduate and become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have been a volunteer in children’s ministry for more than five years. I currently work as an after school teacher. I’m the oldest of 4 so I naturally I grew up caring for my younger siblings, not to mention little cousins I’ve cared for at family parties. Even now I help care for my husband’s younger brothers from time to time. My first job out of high school was actually as a CYPA (Child Youth Program Assistant) at a military base daycare, so I have experience with caring for up to 12 children at once mostly between the ages of 5-12. Due to my prior experience as a CYPA I am seasoned in creating engaging activities, overseeing mealtime, and helping with down time. I have had hands on training for CPR and First aid and can administer medication if required. I enjoy helping with homework or teaching new skills. With two cats at home I also love pets and can work with both children and animals simultaneously. I have a flexible schedule and am open to early morning and late night availability if need. A few personal things about me is I enjoy Musical theatre, I’m a passionate gamer, I love anime, and I am a huge foodie. I am also a military brat myself and have lived in Germany and South Korea for a solid period of time.

I was previously a swim instructor as well so that is a service I may be willing to provide. I can also do pet sitting since I love animals as well!
