Hello, it is lovely to meet you, my name is Joycemarie and I am looking forward to being your next caregiver, babysitter, nanny, or pet sitter (looking for mornings/nights/weekends). I am happy cooking, cleaning, doing pick ups/drop offs, errands, and more! I can smoothly transition play time into education/home-work time, and the reason I enjoy working with children is being able to see the world through new eyes. Safety and health are always top priorities for me- I am First Aid/ CPR certified, but willing to obtain more certs. A bit about me: I currently work for the Girl Scouts, but am training to obtain my Doula certification. When I am not working you can find me playing outdoors whatever the season, beginning endless arts + crafts projects, writing poetry, enjoying stand up comedy, or having dance parties in my room with my cat Lilo. I worked at various sleep-away camps, day camps and outdoor/wilderness schools for elementary/middle school ages; cared for toddlers as a teacher's aide for the Children's Discovery Museum in San Francisco; nannied for a family of 3 children ages 6-13 + household chores, errands, meal preparation, outings, and homework assistance; tutored high school level students while I was in college; and nannied 2 children of elementary and middle school ages which primarily consisted of pick-ups/drop-offs. I also have experience serving communities of at-risk and underprivileged youth providing outdoor programming, as well as cared for adults living with Alzheimer's, and am trained to adapt learning and play for disabled individuals. Education: I hold a B.S. degree in Recreation Admin. with a focus in Hospitality, Parks and Recreation, Event Management.
