Hey hey! My name is Kylie and I am currently a student at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, I study Social Work! I moved here from Oregon for college back in 2023. Outside of college, I am a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army Reserves as well as a Direct Support Professional at Bayada, where I work with young adults who have intellectual disabilities. Because of my work as a Combat Medic, I am a licensed EMT as well as CPR, First Aid, and BLS certified, I also annually pass additional and in-depth security clearances so you know your child will be safe with me. I have worked with children of all ages and from all backgrounds. My first job at 15 years old was as a camp counselor. I stayed in that role until I was 17 where I began working with children who had intellectual and developmental disabilities. About a year before I moved to Hawaii, I picked up a second job working at a church daycare for kids aged 0-5 years old! That was my first experience working with infants but it was a valuable job to be able to expand my knowledge to working with children of all ages. I am extensively knowledgeable about intellectual disabilities too so you know your little ones, who you may be concerned about their needs not being met, will be safe and secure with me! I am super down to earth and keep a positive attitude.
