Hi,my name is Emma Henry.I graduated the from Western Oregon University with a bs in interdisciplinary studies and a minor in educational psychology.In the past I have had experience working part time at the Independence Elementary where I helped students from 1-5th with reading and math skills.Sometimes I'd work with children who have behavioral issues and just need that extra one on one time to improve on their reading and math. I grew up in the very small town of Carlton and in my hometown there is a community run program called "Carlton Together Care". The program allows middle school to high school aged kids to gain experience watching children between the ages of 3-5 while under the supervision of a leader .Some of the duties that we had to do was supervise the kids, be in charge of arts and crafts, pass out snacks and play with the children.I Read more also have experience volunteering at the daycare at Western Oregon University.Some of the duties that I had were to pass out snacks, supervise the children during recesses time and play with the children.The children at the daycare were between the ages of 3-5 years old and a great joy to be with.In the past I have also worked as a child care provider for an after school program in Newberg,OR.Since COVID the program expanded to all day care.I worked with children from ages of 5-8,responsibilities include serving lunches and snacks, facilitating and coming up with fun and unique arts and crafts.I was also in charge of supervising recesses and zoom calls. I also helped with homework.After that I spent time working for a family in Carlton watching a 7yr and 8yr old,my responsibilities were to help with zoom,school and homework and play with them.We would read,playing hide and seek and taking trips to the park.I love working with kids of all ages but especially little kids and toddlers because of my nephew,I help watch him on occasion and have been babysitting him from the time he was born.I love watching how quickly children mentally develop and how excited they are about new skills they develop.I can and am willing to provide references of my work ethic and qualifications with past employment.
