Hi! My name is Sam, and caring for children has been a meaningful part of my life for as long as I can remember. I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child, and I feel honored to be a part of that village for the families I work with. I love being a sitter because it allows me to support children as they learn and grow, share fun and creative activities, and help guide them through life’s little (and big!) moments. Children constantly challenge us in the best ways—they help me grow just as much as I help them. I have extensive experience caring for children of all ages. I started babysitting my siblings, neighbors, and other families at a young age, and that passion turned into a lifelong journey. I helped launch an elementary school and worked there for 12 years, including many years as an Read more assistant teacher and as the head of the student support team. My work focused on supporting the needs of every child, their families, and their teachers, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for learning and growth. Currently, I’m involved with a youth nature program, where I continue to mentor and engage with children through meaningful, outdoor-based experiences. I also studied psychology and social science in college, with a strong focus on youth development, giving me a deep understanding of children's emotional and social needs. I bring a wide range of skills and love to share them through hands-on projects and creative activities—whether it’s arts and crafts, science experiments, storytelling, or nature explorations, there’s always something fun and enriching to do. In addition to childcare, I’m happy to assist with light cooking, cleaning, and household chores to help make your family's day run more smoothly. My CPR and First Aid certification is current, with training completed in late 2024. I bring a calm, nurturing, and proactive approach to both safety and care.
