McKenzie is passionate about providing clients with her skills and knowledge of child development and gentle parenting. The daughter of two child protective service employees, ensuring safe and secure environments for clients is her top priority. Additionally, enrichment activities, life skill development, and answering the "Why" questions of developing minds are all routine tasks. She has studied Elementary Education, Human Development, and Family Sciences at Oregon State University. McKenzie has traveled to Asia where she taught English at a local elementary school. Her heart called her to take a leave from university in an effort to support her community since March 2020. In that time, she has worked with Corvallis Parks & Rec in the summer, provided in home care to a neurodivergent child, and worked directly with youth at the Oregon Youth Authority. McKenzie was raised with the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Louis, and Walt Disney. Her parents Read more emphasized the value of art and history with visits to art galleries, museums, live music, libraries, stage productions, and national monuments. She spent her extra-curriculars in the performing arts throughout her K - 12 education. McKenzie is fully vaccinated with booster (Pfizer), maintains a limited circle of in-person contact, and was most recently First Aid & CPR certified on June 23, 2020.
