Kids remind me of what it means live in the present and not worry about the future. They bring me life and joy. They can be exhausting, but caring for kids is a very rewarding job. I currently work as a Child Developmental Specialist for Real Connections Child Development Institute in Monrovia, CA. For this company, I have served children with autism and their families with play therapy, also known as Floortime/DIR. This job has taught me so much about children of all ages and how to respond to their needs. I have learned how to read a child's verbal and non-verbal cues and what to expect from the different age ranges.
