Hi- I'm Ona. I've been working with kids in so many different ways ever since I started babysitting in 8th grade. I just absolutely love it. I love getting to know people and especially I love sharing energy and time with children because they're so raw and real and unique. Some of my favorite ways to spend time with kids are outside and in conversation. I also love to dance, make music videos, and spend time creatively with kids. I'm good with food prep, homework, bedtime, and I'm very good with conflict resolution. I am warm and fun and the respect with which I treat children generally means that they feel comfortable and happy with me pretty quickly. I'm not sure if people will be able to see more than just this little box of text so just to give a little bit more professional context I've been working with kids for over 20 years- I've worked as a preschool teacher, a nature education specialist, a Spanish teacher, a substitute teacher, a nanny, an after school teacher, and a camp counselor- many of these positions I've had multiple experiences with. I've worked in alternative and intentional settings and also conventional settings. I've particularly had a lot of experience with nature education. My favorite ways to spend time with children are really in informal settings so we can really form relationships, so I love babysitting and nannying. I'm a safe driver and have been CPR trained and certified many times over, although I'm not sure if my certification is currently up to date. I absolutely love kids, all ages. I especially love the toddler stage. I have experience with babies as little as 5 days old, to kids in their preteens/teens.
