I have been babysitting on and off throughout my entire life. I watched, played with and drove my own sister in my teens (we're 7 years apart) and now as an adult have watched her children (my nephews) from infanthood to preteen years. I also babysat for friends and acquaintances in my late teens and early 20s. I love playing make believe games with kids and reading stories together. (I'm a budding children's author.) Their sense of wonder and joy are so fun to be a part of. Being a caring constant in a child's life is so important for their short and long-term development. Every baby and child deserves to feel safe and loved by the responsible adults around them and I want to be a part of that support system. I went to Medical Assisting school in 2011 and learned a little about early childhood development and psychology. I believe all of these things can apply to caring for infants and children, especially in assisting your children in feeling seen, valued, and understood.
