Hello, My name is Jen and I am originally from Southern California, however I have called Australia home for the past 12 years. I am visiting family at the moment here in Medford Oregon for a few months and I am very interested in working with children. In Tasmania Australia, I was a manager and supervisor at an After school hours care facility for 3 years. I cared for children ages 4 to 12. We did various activities, I really enjoyed learning through play, and the imagination of the children. I love working with kids as they are in the moment and real, and some of the conversations are outstanding. I also worked with a family of 4 children in the home education setting, ages 4-13. I enjoyed that as it was a different experience altogether. We not only did math and science, but we did life skills as well, Read more such as cooking, animal care, sewing, music, gardening etc. I love yoga and was a volunteer at my yoga studio in Launceston Tasmania and watched the children as their moms did yoga. And at the age of 18 I was a nanny of 2 children ages 2 and 7 in California. I also did volunteer work as a circus worker in Tasmania, and taught children how to hula hoop among other things.
