Meet Karenna

• Comfortable with pets

I am a graduate student in counseling at PSU, and I plan to specialize in working with children and teens. I have spent the past three years working at various therapeutic programs for troubled kids and teens, as well as at a preschool for typically developing children. I would describe myself as playful, passionate, and caring. I am a huge book nerd and love reading aloud to children (some of my favorite children's authors are Roald Dahl, Lewis Carroll, and Shel Silverstein.) . I am also an enormous animal lover, so it would be a definite bonus if you have pets. I would be excited to take children on outings in the community, participate in their imaginative play, and come up with creative activities that cater to the children's budding interests. I cook, swim, and and make balloon animals. I am currently working on teaching myself Spanish and acoustic guitar, Read more and I would love to share these new skills with the children in my care. I recently decided to sell my car and join the ranks of the proud Portland bike commuters, but I do have a current driver's license and a clean driving record, as well as CPR and First Aid.
